New Smokehouse BBQ Menu @ The Deck!
Summer is finally here! People from all corners of the globe flock to San Diego for fun in the sun, great food and good friends. Since its opening last year, The Deck at Moonshine Flats has become a top destination for SD sports-watching, moonshine-drinking and legendary “Sunday Fundays.” This 4th of July weekend, The Deck is adding “mouthwatering BBQ” to that list by upping their food game and unrolling a new menu that encompasses any Summer-lover’s dream: Smokehouse BBQ in a backyard setting!
After perfecting the social atmosphere, owner Ty Hauter wanted to revamp the food offerings. “I’m very excited to bring San Diego a 100% authentic smokehouse barbecue guaranteed to make any southerner proud! With our creative yet traditional menu we feel The Deck will hold its own against the more well known barbecue joints in town,” says Hauter.
If there’s one thing to know about about Chef Todd Nash, Good Time Design’s Executive Chef, it is that he has a passion for southern cuisine. He brought in a Southern Pride smoker to perfect his recipes and make truly authentic southern smokehouse creations. The new menu features smoked meats sold by the pound, 5 housemade BBQ sauces, tasty sandwiches and unique offerings like a pulled-pork baked potato, smothered brisket fries and tri-tip biscuit sliders!
The casual setting and fun ambiance paired with the new smoked menu make The Deck the prime place to enjoy San Diego Summer the way it was meant to be enjoyed– in the sun with great friends, delicious food and a cold drink in your hand!
The Deck at Moonshine Flats kitchen is open until 11pm, 7 days a week!
